Card.com Prepaid Visa Debit Card Review

card comCard.com is not your ordinary prepaid debit card. All loaded funds are 100% FDIC insured. You can load money in many convenient ways including easy direct deposit, Green Dot MoneyPak, Western Union, PayPal or through a picture of a check with my Android phone. You can even transfer funds from card to card.

But before you have to worry about all the little details, you get to choose from a number of different card faces, which makes your Card.com debit card different from other customers. I opted to choose the Empire State Building photo just because I’ve been to New York many times and love taking pictures of all the cool buildings.

Once you select a card, it gets shipped to your house very quickly, I think I received my personalized card within the week. Registration and activation was a breeze as well, just create a username and enter your personal information. Unlike other prepaid cards, don’t just use the card and toss it, instead it replaces your bank card and you can use it as long as you wish for daily purchases It is free for 30 days, and then there is a $5.95 monthly fee, which can be waived if you use direct deposit over $800 in the previous 30 days. The fee is the same as the Walmart prepaid card and much less than many competitors.

It’s definitely worth it to try Card.com out for at least the first 30 days, see if it can help replace some or all of your other debit cards.

Disclosure:  I wrote this review as a part of a Blog Friendly PR outreach campaign for CARD.com, I was compensated for my time but all opinions are my own.
