Julbo Dust Sunglasses Review
A little background on Julbo, it has been developing lens technology and eyeglass products since 1888 and have been a really big innovator in the eyewear industry. They manufacture multi-sport eyewear for elite outdoor athletes, but also ‘regular’ ones for everyday use. They always try to keep a balance of quality and style when it comes to sunglasses. They produce simple sunglasses for children but also focus on the most hardcore outdoor athletes for mountaineering and wintersport goggles, and after 120 years in this industry, they are still the most technical, durable and protective models around.
The Julbo Dust Sunglasses are ideal for mountain biking and outdoor racing. They are designed for a snug fit on the face so that they grip the nose and temples to avoid slipping while performing. The frame is made of nylon, polycarbonate lens that are interchangeable with measurements: 66mm lens width, 17mm bridge and 120mm temple.
I had a few first impressions when I took the Julbo Dust sunglasses out of its case. First, the color: it’s this bright shade of blue and hint of green, nothing like I’ve ever worn before. The glasses have this plastic-y look to it, but when you touch it, it’s a really smooth feel and very sturdy. It’s also very light so you don’t have to worry about it slowing you down if you’re using it to run. The lenses are interchangeable so you can swap them out depending on how much sun you’ll be exposed to. I was able to go for a run in them on a pretty sunny day. The Julbo Dust sunglasses did a great job keeping the light out of my eyes, stayed in place even as I started to sweat around my eyes and forehead and didn’t fog up like other sunglasses I’ve worn in the past. Overall, it’s a nice looking very stylish pair of sunglasses that were designed for outdoor performance which is perfect for me. Check out some of the photos I took below.
