I had the opportunity to attend the first wine hang out at the Marina Kitchen’s new wine tasting bar, inside the Marriott Marquis Hotel by the San Diego Marina downtown. You can read my initial preview of the event here. The idea is simple: bring in a well known wine expert to showcase their own collection, serve delicious food and pair them with a variety of wine. Overall, it was a very casual and laid back event, all guests were able to try the different appetizers and desserts with their own wine pairings. There were no crazy lines or crowds that we had to deal with. We were also served more than enough wine (fortunately, we made the wise decision to take an Uber to and from the event!)
