Jays v-JAYS Headphone Review
Jays is small and young (2007) startup audio equipment manufacturer based in Sweden with one goal: make great products for music enthusiasts. Since they launched their first headphones back in 2007, they have been praised for their quality headphones and have been very innovative since then and have even launched an Android app for their headphones. They have re-launched their v-JAYS headphone which was already award-winning and highly reviewed, but are now offering them at an even more attractive price. The main physical difference in the new v-JAYS is that they come in a matte finish with new packaging, but still offers the same audio quality to the widest possible audience.
The Jays v-JAYS headphones are a lightweight, portable and extremely powerful piece of audio equipment. At first glance, the v-JAYS look like one of those old-school pairs of Sony headphones that you used with your Walkman. But once you hold a pair in your hands and actually put them to the test, you’ll walk away with a totally different perspective and experience. Because they only weigh 2.09 oz and the earpieces are collapsible, you can take them practically anywhere. The headphones contain two 40mm Mylar speakers. “The speakers deliver a superior bass impact without overwhelming the other frequencies, meaning all the small details you often miss with other headphones remain intact.” This means that these headphones are great for all types of music listeners from those regular podcast listeners, bass heads and musicians alike.
Another added feature to the v-JAYS is that each speaker is mounted on ball joints, so they can tilt up to 40 degrees in every direction allowing a custom fit depending on your use and listening style. Some nice-to-have accessories that come with the v-JAYS headphones is a pair of spare foam cushions and a 70cm extension cable when you’re using them at a music station that is farther away or secure in your pocket.
