Ohyo Collapsable Water Bottle Review
Of all the running or sports accessories available, I would think the water bottle has changed the least. Sure there have been improvements in material to make them more environmentally friendly, lighter and even some that help keep your drink cooler longer. I’ve tested a bottle recently that opened from the top and bottom, to make it easier to clean, which I thought was cool. Recently, I was given the opportunity to test and review a new sports bottle, called the Ohyo Water Bottle. It has a unique feature in that it is collapsible (and expandable), so you can carry it around with ease and save space when you have to store it away when not in use. I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Ohyo water bottle worked and how easy it is to expand and collapse. You can actually carry the Ohyo in your pocket when collapsed, as well as in your backpack or purse (probably expanded in the last two situations).
Some quick features of the Ohyo water bottle: it’s made in England, dishwasher safe, BPA-free, comes in 4 different colors (pink, blue, green, clear), and can store up to 500 ml or 16.9 ounces. The neck is fairly wide to make it easier to clean too or you can toss it into the dishwasher as well. It sports a drinking spout (which is basically a built in straw) which you can open/close fairly easily. I found it very easy to carry around when collapsed and when I needed to add water into it, all I had to do was open the spout (very important, or else it won’t work) and then use my fingers to slowly expand the bottle.
You can order the bottles on their websites in pairs at around $7 each, with shipping it comes out to around $20 which isn’t bad given its portability and unique design.
Disclosure of Material Connection: I received the Ohyo Water Bottle for free from Ohyo as coordinated by Deep Creek PR an Outdoor Industry Public Relations Company in consideration for review publication.
