Quirky Converge Universal USB Docking Station Review
For the longest time, I’ve wanted to get a docking station for my gadgets. So whenever I went to a gadget store like Brookstone, I would look at the different docking stations available. The Quirky Converge Docking Station is a really cool looking hardware that functions as a charging station, but also a stand for all my gadgets. It’s a great way to prevent cord clutter since USB cables are hidden behind the dock and plugs into one of 4 USB slots that is then powered by one cord into an outlet. The issue I have is that there is no on/off switch on the dock, so if it’s not being used, there will be an indicator light on the bottom right that stays on. What’s nice is the slit that runs along the docking station and covered in rubber, so it can allow multiple devices to be charged at the same time and stay in place so you don’t have to worry about it slipping off of the dock. As I mentioned before, there are 4 USB slots on the dock, so this can be used for any device that is powered by USB, which includes Apple, Android and Blackberry devices. It’ll even work for digital cameras as you can see in the photos below. My sister just got an iPhone 5, so she already started looking at accessories for her phone. I will have to recommend this dock to her, which should work with are iPad as well.
