Road ID Wrist ID Elite Review
Running is probably one of the easiest sports to get into, all you really need is a pair of running shoes (for some, no shoes at all!) and you can be out and running right away. But then as you really get into it you may want to start timing your runs with a watch or measure your effort with a heart rate monitor. Then there’s an iPod for your long runs and hat for rain/sunny runs and by now the list can get pretty long. But what I think is the most important thing that you need to bring with you on your runs is a form of identification, just because you can never predict what will happen out on the road or trail. I just got the Wrist ID Elite from Road ID and although I hope it’ll never need to be used, by carrying it with me on all my runs, I won’t have to worry about not being identified if something were to ever happen to me.
Road ID is one of the most common makers of identification gear out in the market. The idea is simple: you have a piece of equipment that you store important information about yourself (contact info, allergy and health info, etc) in case you become incapacitated and cannot identify yourself. I ordered the Wrist ID Elite which is the newest style available from Road ID. The Wrist ID Elite is made of a few components: a rubberized, polymer band, a watch-style buckle or clasp and satin finish, stainless steel where your emergency information is laser engraved. They are available in 8 colors and are so sleek and stylish that they can actually be worn in everyday settings as well. You receive the Wrist ID Elite with a super long wrist band which you can cut shorter to fit your wrist size, meaning one size really does fit all. The Wrist ID Elite is fresh and saltwater safe, effectively absorbs sweat (so it doesn’t smell) and dries instantly so it works for swimmers as well as runners. In fact, this product is good for any athlete or outdoor enthusiast because you never know what will happen once you step outside your door.
So if you’re a new or seasoned runner looking for the next piece of running gear to buy, consider Road ID and definitely the Wrist ID Elite. You’ll look cool wearing it and get that peace of mind that we all need when we’re out on a run.
