Ryders Eyewear VTX Sunglasses Review
Spring is here and summer is just around the corner, which means one thing: outdoor runs under the bright sun. Fortunately, I was sent a pair of Ryders Eyewear to review specifically, the VTX sunglasses.
The Ryders VTX sunglasses offer quite a few features. The Duraflex frames are extremely durable, flexible and lightweight. The lenses are interchangeable and come with 2 other polycarbonate lenses in addition to the dark gray lens already on the VTX sunglasses. All lenses are shatterproof and offer a 100% UVA, UVB and UVC protection. The orange lenses increase contrast making them ideal in low light conditions for example during trail running, on a cloudy day or when the sun is low in the sky. See the differences between the lenses below:
The Ryders VTX sunglasses also feature adjustable nose pads to provide a custom fit that’s helpful if you have a hard-to-fit nose. There are also adjustable temple tips which can be bent and twisted any way you like and brings significantly greater comfort. The nose pads and temple tips are hydrophilic which are hypoallergenic and gets ‘tackier’ or sticky with moisture. So if you start sweating, the moisture will actually help keep the sunglasses in place so they don’t slip off your face.
Other things worth mentioning about the Ryders VTX sunglasses: The tint of the lenses is 15% (gray), 47% (orange), 99% (clear) visible light transmission (VLT), provides a medium fit, come with a zipper lined hardshell case, cloth cover/lens wipe as well as a pouch for the unused lenses.
