Saucony Triumph ISO Review
I’ve ran in a variety of running shoes back in high school, both for training and racing. I remember trying to race in a pair of racing flats that a friend let me borrow. Although they were light, they must not have had enough cushion and support because my feet would be burning while running in them. Ironically, when another friend (who was lighter than me) wore them, he did not have any issues and continued to race in them. I suppose not all shoes are made for the same runners. The Saucony Triumph ISO may actually be one of those running shoes that can accommodate all runners.
The Triumph ISO is a neutral pair of running shoes with very flashy colors. They boast two unique features: the ISOFIT in the upper for a custom feel, and PWRGRID+ in the platform for our most cushioned ride ever. When you first slip your feet into these shoes, you’ll really understand how soft/comfortable the shoes feel. The other highlights include an inner lining that wicks moisture for a dry, comfortable run, 360-degree reflective synthetic that enhances visibility in low-light conditions, only weighs 10.3 ounces, and more.
I’ve been wearing support shoes for the longest time, but recently started to try out other types of running shoes. Fortunately, I have not had any injuries or issues with the change. The first run I had with the Triumph ISO, I really noticed how comfortable the entire shoe was, but still provided enough support that I needed in running shoes.
These are definitely shoes that you need to try on for yourself at your local running shoe store. Be on the lookout for the next two pairs in their series, Hurricane ISO (Jan 1) and Zealot ISO (Feb 1), love the names by the way!
