The Zhip: iPhone, Smartphone Holder & Stand Review
Outside of a screen protector, case and possibly an armband, I’ve always wondered what other accessory is really necessary for your smartphone. The Zhip is one of those must-have gadgets for your phone. What is it? It’s an innovative little hands-free gadget that will safely and securely hold your smartphone up against almost any object using its 3 feet retractable zip cord cable. You can also use it as a phone stand to watch videos at your desk. The device itself is very compact (1 oz) and can be folded in and stored in your pocket with ease. The body of the Zhip is constructed using an unbreakable polycarbonate, ‘bullet proof’ material to really make it last. As I said, there is a hidden 3 foot retractable rip cord to use to wrap around objects you want your phone to sit against. It can wrap around anything you can think of (within the 3 foot radius limit). The grips handles that hold your phone in place have a protective layer to keep it from scratching or damaging your phone. There is also a built-in desktop stand that can be opened only if you need it.
Some example scenarios where The Zhip would be useful:
- At the gym, on a treadmill or exercise machine
- Mounted onto your bicycle during a long ride
- During at the seat for car rides, flights, road trips, etc.
- Around the kitchen to reference kitchen recipes or cooking shows
